As perspective is born in art, so is space. It is time itself stopped by the observer's look.
In an unstable present, pixelated with meaning, where perceptions are accelerated by the invasion of contents, the psychological pressures are overwhelming and the affections reveal themselves to be elusive, one of the challenges is to intensify our subjectivity, our look, our perspective.
We are being pierced by a natural and mysterious excess, by two powers with different core running with us in parallel axes: construction, which takes time, and destruction, which is fast, instantaneous.
All that is left as an antidote is to create in each single act, to find our singularity, our meaning, so we can get out of the food chain of void. It has become urgent to connect with the emotional aspect, to dissociate oneself from the merely rational to be able to hear that which is "inner."
In that regard, mosaic, with all its philosophical and perceptive baggage, reveals itself to us as an ally in the path to achieve our goal.
The technique's spirit is filled with inspirational value. Beginning with the search for materials, rescuing the discarded and reinventing it (a kind of resilience in analogy with our resources), we continue with the arduous modification of hard matter, a purely physical work, to reach the subtle expression of a brush-stroke, and we focus on a slow labour which requires hours of will power, dedication and care. There is a constructive attitude in this process, an attitude of "step by step", of loving patience, of pregnant woman, of knitter.
This mosaics have within them all the work that requires to a person to achieve fulfillment in freedom, and its colors have the necessary contrast which leads to emotional movement.
With "perspective", I pretend to contribute to the stream of your subconscious with expressions which stimulate your own architecture, and as a side effect, to encourage you to get on that "long way home".
